On April 3, 2012, the first articles went online. After nine years, spur1info is still the only online magazine in the world with the topic of Gauge 1: German and English, free from the constraints of printed magazines, faster, more critical and with around 3,000 photos per year, a unique source of information for readers on all continents. It is a small, fine community that has not only moved together here as "homo ludens" (the playing man), but also pursues its hobby to a high standard.

The Hungarian subsidiary of Märklin has developed a gauge 1 model that makes the long waits for production models obsolete. Individual initiative is called for.
