What is the sum of 4 and 5?

Danish DSB gets its Vectron

by

DSB has ordered 42 units of the multi-system Vectron, which are designed for the power systems 25 kV 50 Hz AC (Denmark) and 15 kV 16.6 Hz AC (Germany, Sweden). The 200 km/h (124.2 mph) electric locomotives have an output of 6.4 MW. The red (shiny!) paint scheme looks like Austrian ÖBB's Vectron, which, however, has a different roof color. New on the DSB locomotive are also the additional handles on the doors. The simple DSB logo is evidence of understatement.

The DSB locomotives of the EB 3201 to 3242 series are scheduled to pull double-decker trains in regional service from 2021. From 2023, it is planned to use them to operate in sandwich talgo trains between Copenhagen and Hamburg.

The Vectron from Siemens Mobility, which was presented in 2010, is approved in 20 European countries. Over 1,000 units have already been delivered to 50 customers.

Kiss Modellbahnen Deutschland, a Fine Models GmbH brand, will deliver 2021 models (unfortunately not of this version) in 1/32nd scale for gauge 1.
